A basic examination kit — mouth mirror, explorer and tweezers — the instruments that open every exam, routine treatment and restoration check. The mirror gives indirect vision, reflects light onto the working area and holds back the tongue and cheek. The explorer checks surfaces, fissures and restoration margins, and the tweezers carry cotton and small items in and out of the mouth. These are reusable instruments, cleaned and sterilized between patients.
