Eighteeth

An ultrasonic scaler for scaling, perio and endo work, with a stand-alone 900 mL liquid bottle and an external water supply option. It works across a 25–42 kHz frequency range, with three operating modes and ten power levels in each, and accepts both Eighteeth handpiece types — EMS-type and Satelec-type. Automatic digital frequency tracking keeps the unit at its optimal frequency, and the manufacturer states that intelligent feedback adapts treatment to the condition of the tooth surface. The handpiece is detachable and autoclavable, lights the field with an LED, and has its own water-flow control.
