A castable resin for printing patterns that burn out in the furnace — the digital counterpart of wax carving in the lost-wax technique. The pattern is printed from the design, invested and burned out to leave room for the metal, so the framework is cast from the file rather than from a hand-built wax-up. Resins like this are used for crown and bridge frameworks and partial denture frameworks. Processing, investing and burnout follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
