F220 Phosphor Plate Scanner

Fussen

A phosphor plate (PSP) scanner for intraoral X-rays: the plate is exposed like film, then the scanner reads it and sends the digital image to the clinic computer. The plate is thin (0.1 mm) and bends up to 270°, so it conforms to the arch and stays comfortable where a rigid sensor presses. It goes in vertically; the scanner detects its size, reads it in 10 seconds in SD mode, erases it automatically and ejects it ready for the next exposure. The manufacturer states that each plate lasts more than 2000 uses on average.
