PMMA DiscsPMMA discs for milling in CAD/CAM systems, for temporary crowns and bridges and for denture bases. Discs come in 98 mm and 95 mm diameters and in Sirona and AG formats, in thicknesses of 10–40 mm, in shades following the VITA16 key and in pink and clear. The manufacturer states a flexural strength of 110–140 MPa and a modulus of elasticity of 2500 MPa. Monolayer, multilayer, Impak and flexible versions are available. Supplied to the laboratory by JK Dent.
PEEK DiscsPEEK discs for milling in CAD/CAM systems — a non-metal alternative for frameworks and substructures. The manufacturer describes the material as light, biocompatible and more flexible than metal, with no metallic shade. Used for partial denture frameworks, superstructures and restorations where metal is to be avoided.
