A pattern milled from the design file reproduces the digital design without hand carving. According to the manufacturer the wax burns out cleanly with no residue, mills easily and holds detail. Clean burnout matters for pressed lithium disilicate and cast metal alike: residue in the mold can spoil the surface and fit of the restoration.
