Mathieu Needle Holder
A Mathieu needle holder with a palm grip and a handle-end ratchet, for intraoral suturing in oral surgery, extractions and gum surgery. Instead of finger rings, the curved handles are held in the whole palm: one squeeze locks the needle in the jaws, a further squeeze releases it, and the spring opens the jaws on its own. The needle is grasped, passed and released without shifting the hand, and it is driven by rotating the wrist. Serrated jaws keep it steady as the stitch goes through.
