Sealing Machine
A heat sealer for sterilization reels: it seals instruments into pouches before the autoclave, so they stay sterile until opened at the chair. An intact, fully sealed pack is what keeps an instrument sterile in storage; a compromised pack has to be cleaned, repacked and sterilized again. The reels sit on a rack above the machine, so each pouch is cut to the instrument’s length instead of using a fixed-size pouch — less wasted material and less volume in the autoclave chamber. The press lever seals the end in one motion, and a sliding cutter trims the reel. Check the seal visually before sterilization, and check the pack again before opening.
